Dark Blue Beauty - Lost & Found
Lost and Found Collection
The shards in this collection have been found in hedgerows and footpaths during my many walks in the Welsh border countryside.
As rural communities moved away from their upland smallholdings and cottages with the growth of industry, their houses became abandoned and ruined, some disappearing to the point where a rain washed fragment of their crockery on a muddy lane is their only footprint.
These shards are a link to an old way of life, lost and forgotten; they are often unusual, coming from old, out of production plates of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Each shard is one of a kind. The sterling silver setting is handmade and has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
A beautiful fragment with a deep blue colour on both sides.
Measurements: Please see attached photo for scale.
Pendant: 2.5 x 1.9 cm
Sterling silver chain: 50 cm
The pendant comes in a black gift box.
